How to Make Banana Dog Treats

Banana Biscuit Ingredients

1.5 to 2 cups water

2 bananas, mashed

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)

 

Banana Biscuit Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.

Combine 1 1/2 cups of water, mashed bananas, honey, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl. You can add more water if you need.

Stir in whole-wheat flour and baking powder. The garlic powder is optional but I try to add garlic to all my treats to help prevent pesky fleas naturally.

You can beat dough with an electric mixer on medium speed until ingredients are thoroughly combined, about 1 to 2 minutes.

Once your stuff is completely mixed turn your dough onto a floured surface and knead until your dough is no longer sticky, about 7 minutes.

Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into mini shapes with your favorite cookie cutter. We used our bone and dog cookie cutters, aren't they cute?

Place your dog biscuits on the baking sheets and place in your oven for about 20 minutes, you want your biscuits to be slightly browned..

Remove from the oven and allow your biscuits to cool before giving them to your dogs.
