Pure White Japanese Spitz

Spitz Looks and Personality

You know the type of personality; it is the person in the crowd that everyone wants to be around; fun, exciting, intelligent, lively, happy and loyal.

Japanese Spitz are known for their great courage, affection and devotion making them great watchdogs and ideal companions for older people and small children. All children should be supervised when with a dog.

The Spitz is small in size standing 12 to 14 inches to the shoulder but large at heart and this shows as he loves his family and longs for attention and regular affection. This dog does best inside with the family not out in the elements. The Spitz size makes him perfect for apartment dwellings that allow dogs.

Other than grooming their long thick coat they are easy to take care of and easy to maintain due to the intelligence.

Amazing Spitz Coat

The Spitz has a pure white double coat; harsher longer outer coat and plush thicker undercoat. Their tails are long with feathering creating an elegant regal look and cute small, teddy bear like ears. Spitz puppies are just one big ball of fun and hard to resist.

Outlined with perfect black liner on dogs eye rims, nose pad, lips, nails and paw pads.

The Spitz dog has large expressive eyes that will melt the hearts of many. The best part yet, the Japanese Spitz is one of the few breeds of dog that does not have a “doggy odor” wet or dry.

 The Spitz Breed

There are three types of German Spitz, Klein, Mittle, and Giant, the Pomeranian is a Miniature German Spitz.

The origin of the Japanese Spitz is said to be the large-sized white German Spitz brought to Japan around 1920 via the continent of Siberia and northeast part of China. Around the year 1921 the breed was first exhibited at a dog show in Tokyo.
